Blue Jays Top Sprinting Wallabies to Even Record
|
Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Vancouver Blue Jays and Sunburst Sprinting Wallabies.
Tuco Salamanca, the 8th overall pick in the 2087 draft, imposed his will on the Sprinting Wallabies from the get-go. Relying mainly on his fastball, the left-hander spearheaded the 5-0 Vancouver triumph. Vancouver has won 3 straight, while Sunburst has lost 3 in a row.
Vancouver used a clutch at-bat from Johnny Saint to capture the win. The second baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Blue Jays ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"Solid game, solid win tonight," said a smiling Saint.
