Amagawa Supplies Juice in Dearborn Win
|
The Dearborn Devils beat the Fresno Grizzlies, 7-1, at Railraiders Ballpark. Dearborn third baseman Kiyomitsu Amagawa had the hot bat. He went 4-4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Their 49-27 record puts the Devils first in the Hornsbys League East Division.
With Dearborn leading 3-0 in the top of the third, Amagawa came up to bat against Fresno pitcher Ben Bruce. Amagawa hit a slider to right for a 2-run home run. His 8th home run of the season put the Devils on top, 5-0.
"I think every team will tell you that the pitching sets the tone, especially the starters," said Dearborn skipper .
