Adams Delivers Walk-Off Win for Pelicans
The fans at Mamou Grounds witnessed quite a game.

Kannapolis designated hitter Rusty Boyd had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 6-4, to Pensacola at Mamou Grounds. Boyd went 4 for 5 with 2 home runs and 2 doubles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Kannapolis, with the loss, is still a robust 4-1.

Pensacola got a clutch hit from Skip Adams. The second baseman launched a 2-run home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a kill shot.

In postgame remarks, Adams simply said: "Here's to a great win!"
