Fans were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Long Island Ice Teas take on the Hilton Head Island Big Stick.

A good performance from second baseman José Hidalgo helped the Long Island Ice Teas defeat the Hilton Head Island Big Stick, 6-2. Hidalgo went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Ice Teas. With the loss, Hilton Head Island falls to 2-8.

Had Joe Ramsey not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Ramsey hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Ice Teas.

"Every time you put a 'W' on the board is always good," said Hidalgo.
