The Bedford Astros wasted an impressive 9-inning effort from starter Juan Pérez, falling, 2-1, to the Micco Jaguars at Minute Maid Park. Micco pitcher Dylan Heath got the win. He's now 1-1. Juan Pérez was tagged with the loss. Seiryo Yokoyama saved it for Micco.

Jim Unknown came through with a big-time hit for Micco. The designated hitter smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 2-0. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

Unknown told the Micco Times: "I don't know which I enjoy more -- being a ballplayer or the perks that come with being a ballplayer."
