Long Island Offense Jammed Up by Big Stick
David Hernández, who leads the BL in strikeouts with 96, pitched well, but the Long Island Ice Teas still fell short, losing, 4-1, to the Hilton Head Island Big Stick at Big Stick Ballpark. Johnny Grondin finished to wrap up his 2nd save. The Big Stick improved their record to 23-33 with the win over Long Island.

Hilton Head Island took control in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and the bases loaded, Pat Savage hit a 2-run single to make it 3-1, Big Stick.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Savage said after the game.
