5-1 Vultures Win Evens Series With Booyah
|
The Lake Forest Vultures defeated the Green Bay Booyah, 5-1, in Game 2 of the Round 2. Doing his part was starter Stan Thompson, who threw 6.2 innings of shutout ball. The win moves Lake Forest into a 1-1 tie with Green Bay in the series.
Lake Forest took advantage of an error in the top of the sixth inning. The game was tied, 0-0, when Jarrod Steele hit a 2-run single that was misplayed. It put the Vultures in front, 2-0.
"The competition leap this year was tough to adjust to and I feel like there has been another jump in the playoffs," said Thompson, a rookie this season. "You're only playing the best now and everyone has time to rest and prepare for you."
The next game is set to be played for Friday, September 22nd , 2090 at Vultures Ballpark in Lake Forest.
