The Blossburg Firebirds went home winners at Ballpark of Blossburg, thanks in large part to starter Mike Miller. Miller stifled the Cobtown Sluggers, enabling Blossburg to grab the 8-0 win. With the win, Blossburg goes to 8-5, while the Sluggers fall to 6-7.

Miller was in the zone all game. He frustrated Cobtown hitters while giving the Firebirds 5 innings of quality work. Miller threw 75 pitches, allowing no hits and getting 9 punchouts.

"Mike is pitching with a lot of determination and a lot of fire," said Blossburg manager .
