Pee Pee Township Takes Round of 8
|
The Pee Pee Township Cat Collectors's Championship dreams are still alive, as they've ousted the Myrtle Beach Mermen in the Round of 8, by a score of 5-3.
Ballpark of Dakota City played host to the one-game showdown, as Pee Pee Township was paced by the strong pitching of Johnny Spencer, who was named MVP.
He threw 6.2 innings, with 4 strikeouts, while allowing 6 hits, 3 walks and 3 runs.
"It won't be the last time we see Myrtle Beach in the playoffs, I'm sure of that," Spencer said. "We're happy to come out of it with the win."
The Pee Pee Township Cat Collectors will play against the St. John's Islanders in the next round. St. John's won their series against the Tillamook Zephyrs. The Final Four is scheduled to begin on January 17th , 2089.
