Gulf Coast Extends Series Lead in Low-Scoring Affair
The Gulf Coast Blue Jays moved to within one game of the Round 3, downing the visiting Kannapolis Intimidators at Yard Dawgs Ballpark by a score of 3-2. Blue Jays left fielder Artie Baker did some major damage. He was 3-3 with a home run, a triple, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. The win gives the Blue Jays a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-5 Round 2.

Baker had an important at-bat with the bases empty in the bottom of the eighth, when he hit a solo home run. The Blue Jays went on to win.

Baker told a Gulf Coast News reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.

The next game is set to be played for Sunday, September 20th , 2099 at Ballpark of Twin Lakes in Kannapolis.
