A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Buffalo Blizzard and Iowa Cubs.

Buffalo pitcher Steve Stenis had a large part in his team beating the Iowa Cubs, 3-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Iowa drops to 12-12.

Buffalo used the clutch hitting of Carl Copp to snag the win. The third baseman drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Blizzard ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.

"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Blizzard manager , "I like our chances."
