Kane County Cougars starter Max Sutherland was in fine form. He led his team to victory over the Arizona Wranglers, 2-0. Brad Barrett saved it for Kane County.

Kane County used the hitting of Joe Davis to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a solo home run in the top of the first inning to put the Cougars on top, 2-0. For the game, Davis had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"The key for me has just been attacking the zone and hitting my spots. When I'm throwing strikes and not falling behind in counts, those are the days when I pitch really good," said Sutherland.

The Cougars are now 37-32.
