Cougars Rally to Eke Out Win
|
The Kane County Cougars picked up a win at Myers Corner Grounds, dropping the Middle Island Thunderbolts, 4-3, in 13 innings. Noah Hoyles, who is tied for 5th in the BL in innings pitched with 100.1, was the difference-maker. Kane County is in 4th place in the Ruths League South Division with a record of 38-33.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 13th inning, when Kane County second baseman Joe Davis, facing Jesús Vallejo, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Cougars the 4-3 win.
"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Hoyles.
