Indian Head 42-25 After 6-3 Win Over Greensboro
|
Indian Head shortstop Tony Adkins played a vital role in his team's 6-3 conquest of Greensboro. He went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for Indian Head. Arso Simovic got the win, improving to 5-4. He worked 6.1 innings, giving up 3 runs on 4 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 2. Artie White closed it out for Indian Head, earning his 2nd save.
Alfredo Muñíz hit a 3-run home run off Bernardo Pimentel in the bottom of the first, which put the Anteaters ahead, 3-0. In addition to the homer, Muñíz had 1 double, while going 2 for 3.
Indian Head manager commended his team for exhibiting "no shortage of effort."
