With 4-1 Win, Mountaineers Go to 37-21

The Appalachian State Mountaineers beat the Pitcairn Island Mutineers, 4-1, at Dolphins Ballpark. Appalachian State first baseman Greg Anderson had the hot bat. He was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Mal Edwards earned the save for Appalachian State, his 17th. The Mountaineers have an impressive 37-21 record.
There was more than one reason the Mountaineers beat the Mutineers, but Anderson's big at-bat in the top of the third was an important factor. He staked his team to a 1-0 lead when he hit a run-scoring single.
