The Matawan Cows grabbed a win, 7-5, over the Nederland Nincompoops at Blue Huskies Stadium. Matawan left fielder Ryan MacGill was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Brad Mayer, now 1-2, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. Picking up his 23rd save was 24-year old left-handed pitcher Joe MacKnight.

Charles Luby helped out the Matawan cause in the top of the fifth inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the third baseman was 3 for 4 with 3 singles.

"I'm glad we can make our fans happy with a win," MacGill told the Matawan Herald.

The win puts the Cows at 45-29, while the Nincompoops drop to 34-40.
