Quakers Take Tight Tangle
The Saskatoon Quakers received a superlative performance from starting pitcher Dave Warren, allowing them to bump off the Moscow Mules, 2-1. Saskatoon reliever Lonnie Clark snagged the win, upping his record to 4-4. Brad Johnston shouldered the loss. The Quakers go to 43-68 with the win.

The decisive blow was delivered by Tony Walker in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a solo home run off 21-year old left-handed pitcher Brad Johnston to win the game for Saskatoon. The home crowd went nuts.

Warren attributed the win to "concerted effort and focus."
