Sharks Earn 4-0 Road Win Over El Paso
San Juan starter Ben Bergeron put the El Paso offense in a vise grip. The right-hander relied heavily on his cutter in leading the Sharks to a 4-0 win. Bergeron, now 6-3, was the winner. In 5.2 innings, he gave up 2 hits, while striking out 6, walking 3, and allowing no runs. San Juan is third in the Bonds League South Division with a record of 69-66.

San Juan won the game in part because of Scotty Miles. The shortstop ripped a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Sharks ahead, 3-0. For the game, Miles had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
