Gilbertsville Gets 3-0 Win Behind Lefty Fernández
The rain did not keep Gilbertsville and Le Grand from finishing their game.

José Fernández, who is tied for 5th in the WL with a 0.94 WHIP, imposed his will on the Chargers from the get-go. Relying mainly on his changeup, the left-hander spearheaded the 3-0 Gilbertsville triumph. Ken Matney finished to wrap up his 8th save.

Fernández, the Gilbertsville left-hander, went 8 innings, allowing no runs on 4 hits. He collected 6 strikeouts.

"Obviously, you want to go out there and be good every time out," said Fernández. "I take the ball every day with the same mindset."

Gilbertsville is now 31-21, Le Grand 25-27.
