The Macon River Bats defeated the Elliston-Lafayette Vampires, 3-2, in Williams League action at Vampires Ballpark. Macon pitcher Robby Caldwell had a standout performance. Ron Hodge finished the game for Macon and earned his 20th save. The losing streak for Elliston-Lafayette has now reached 4 games.

Macon used a timely hit from Chris Johns to get the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the River Bats ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a difference-maker.
