In a superb outing at Cottage City Grounds, the Eagles pitcher whitewashed the Edmonton Oilers 12-0. "I just had a feeling it was going to be my day," Jackson said in the clubhouse afterward. "My control was awesome. I could throw my cutter even when I was behind in the count." The DeSoto starter held Edmonton scoreless, giving up 3 hits while registering 7 strikeouts and issuing 4 walks. "We didn't have very many good at-bats," Oilers manager said in his postgame interview. "When that happens, you usually lose." This year Jackson has compiled a 5-7 mark with a 4.41 ERA. |
