Montreal rode a decent outing from starter Michael Irwin to victory over the Honolulu Rays. The final score was 4-3. Montreal reliever John Burns picked up the win, upping his record to 5-1. Reginald Burns shouldered the loss. The win puts Montreal at 71-48 this season.

Montreal used a timely hit from José Ramos to get the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Royals ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"If you ever get this game figured out," said Honolulu manager Gustavo Cruz, "let me know."
