Seattle Gets 6-3 Win Against Hurricanes
Seattle Rainiers starter Katai Kato was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Puerto Rico Hurricanes, 6-3. The winning pitcher was Kato, now 11-10. He tossed 7 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 7. Masanori Murakami was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 17 of 25 save opportunities.

Seattle took a 6-3 lead on Ron Santo's 15th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Santo hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Puerto Rico pitcher Ramon Hernandez shaking his head.

"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Kato.

With the victory, the Rainiers record now stands at 60-77.
