Tappe Delivers Walk-Off Win for Bombers
|
The Bronx Bombers racked up a win at LemonHart Park, bumping off the Carolina Sea Unicorns, 5-3. Meddur Siwazuri, who started for Bronx, pitched effectively for his team. Raúl Díaz, credited with the win, is now 1-0. He allowed no runs on no hits. At 2-0, the Bombers have played well so far.
Ted Tappe was the walk-off hero for Bronx. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Bombers right fielder hit a dramatic 2-run home run to send the teams home.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Tappe. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
