The California Seals beat the Ottawa Knights by a score of 6-5. California shortstop Dave Barrera deserved the lion's share of the credit. Barrera went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, a walk, and was hit by a pitch for the Seals. Kikunojo Watanabe, credited with the win, is now 2-0. He allowed no runs on no hits. The loss drops Ottawa to 3-5.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With two out, Barrera hit a fastball from Ben Underwood for a solo home run. The Seals, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"Exhilarating win," said Barrera.
