The Atlantic City Aces got a stellar performance from pitcher Ross Sweet, who handcuffed the Carolina offense en route to a win, 5-1, at Sea Unicorns Ballpark. Picking up the save was Blakeley Johnson, his 6th. The Sea Unicorns drop to 11-20.

The Sea Unicorns had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Aces going into the top of the second inning. That changed quickly when the 32-year old center fielder Jack Powers came to the plate. Powers hit a run-scoring double on a 1-2 slider from Carolina hurler Ben Lee. It was Powers's 6th double of the year.

Powers said his team "played with focus."
