Trappers Beat Carolina, 4-3
|
Carolina got a valiant performance from pitcher Clay Kirby, but it wasn't enough to beat the Edmonton Trappers. Edmonton won the game, 4-3. Kirby threw 7.0 innings allowing 1 runs for the losing team. The winner in relief was Rory Dayman. He is now 3-1. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. The Trappers have an impressive 23-14 record.
The Trappers procured the win, in large part because of pinch hitter Zoilo Versalles. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"This place sure got loud," said Connor MacNamara, the Edmonton manager.
