Redwood and Bronx duked it out and the Pioneers came out victorious.

Bronx got a terrific game from left fielder Chris Gunter. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Redwood, 6-4. Gunter went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Chandler Davis recorded the save, his 10th.

Redwood used the timely hitting of Elliott Maddox to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Pioneers on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Maddox.

With the win, Redwood has a record of 30-18. Bronx falls to 23-25.
