Hellions Flatten Meatballs, 9-4
|
The Harlem Hellions overcame a fine performance by San Francisco second baseman John Bell to defeat the Meatballs, 9-4, at 420 Park. Bell belted 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. With the win, the Hellions have a record of 31-34.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Kyle García? The Harlem third baseman had a 2-run single in the top of the sixth inning to put the Hellions on top, 6-2. For the game, García had 1 double and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.
"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said San Francisco manager John Rush. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
