Bombers Sneak Past Hellions, 3-2

The Bronx Bombers did just enough to secure a victory over the Harlem Hellions, 3-2, at Hell. Nobody did more than pitcher Nick Brown. Brown picked up the win for Bronx, going 8.2 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 9 hits. He now sports a record of 6-4. Pablo Guzmán was called on to finish, recording his 8th save.
Bronx used the timely hitting of Harrison Fluellen to capture the win. The pinch hitter socked a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Bombers ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a big one.
Fluellen attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
Bronx raised its record to 39-36 with the win.
