Bourbons Bridle Knights, 3-1
|
In a low-scoring affair between the Kentucky Bourbons and the Ottawa Knights, pitcher Mattias Petraeus was the difference between victory and defeat. The Kentucky left-hander earned accolades in the 3-1 Bourbons win. In 6 innings, Petraeus surrendered 1 hit, while striking out 7 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. Kentucky now has a record of 42-35 with the win.
The Bourbons got a big at-bat from second baseman Hal McRae. For the game, McRae was 1-3 with a home run. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 7th home run of the season gave Kentucky a 2-1 lead.
"It was a solid team effort," said McRae after the game.
