Nye Holds Calgary Scoreless
It wasn't easy but Rich Nye made it look that way.

Nye silenced the Calgary Sharpshooters, 9-0, in a Buffalo Jump triumph at Mammoth Ballpark today. Despite the appearance of dominance, Nye said later that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up 1 walk and 4 hits.

"It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said. "I made a few mistakes but it goes to show what you can do with grit and not much else."

So far this season, Nye has logged a 7-2 record with a 1.27 ERA. He has started 9 games, hurled 78 innings and registered 51 strikeouts and 17 walks.
