Fans saw a dandy of a game between the Kinuso Blues and Montreal Royals.

The Kinuso Blues got a strong performance from pitcher Tom Seaver, who stymied the Montreal offense en route to a win, 2-1, at Blues Ballpark. Getting the save was George Cunningham, his 2nd.

Seaver imposed his will on the Royals, scattering 7 hits over 8.2 innings while striking out 11. The right-hander upped his season record to 6-2.

"I had one goal in mind," said Seaver. "Keep pounding the zone."

Kinuso raised its record to 20-19 with the win.
