Rays Come Up Short at Iron City, 5-4
Willie Stargell was instrumental in his team's 5-4 triumph over the Honolulu Rays. The first baseman belted 2 home runs for the Iron City Eddies. Iron City reliever Billy McCool was the winner. His record is now 2-2. The losing pitcher was Cristián Cabrera. Thomas Watts got the save, the 3rd for him this season.

Jing-xiang Lok came through for Iron City with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the seventh. The catcher went 2 for 3 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and collected 2 runs batted in.

"Win or lose, we always try to grind it out and stay even-keeled," Stargell said in reaction to the win.

The win gives Iron City a season record of 23-21.
