Bronx Bombers starter Meddur Siwazuri was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Ottawa Knights, 6-3. Bronx is 48-49 and Ottawa, with the loss, 35-62.

The Bombers got an important contribution from left fielder Tim Smith, who in the bottom of the second punched a 0-1 slider into left for a 2-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Bombers ahead, 3-0.

"Meddur was able to execute his pitches," said Bronx manager Jason Owen. "Simple as that."
