Brown Impressive in Bronx Win
|
Municipal Stadium was the site of a true pitchers' duel.
The Bronx Bombers got a magnificent effort from pitcher Nick Brown, who kept Philadelphia hitters in check en route to a 2-0 Bombers win at Municipal Stadium. The save went to Pablo Guzmán, number 14 for him.
The Athletics had trouble solving Brown, who surrendered no runs on 5 hits over 8 innings.
"I had pretty good command out there," said Brown.
Bronx is now 51-54, Philadelphia 44-61.
