Nye Fashions Shutout Against Stockton
It wasn't easy but Rich Nye made it look that way.

Nye silenced the Stockton 209, 1-0, in a Iron City Eddies triumph at Stockton Field today. Despite the appearance of dominance, Nye said later that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up 3 walks and 5 hits.

"It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said. "I made a few mistakes but it goes to show what you can do with grit and not much else."

This year Nye has compiled a 6-5 record with a 3.45 ERA in 16 starts.
