Royals Get One-Run Win at Puerto Rico
Montreal rode a good effort from starter Yoriie Kichida to beat the Puerto Rico Hurricanes at Estadio Hiram Bithorn. The final score was 3-2. Kichida went 8.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 1, and struck out 9. His record improves to 9-4. Steve Long was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 6 of 7 save opportunities.

Montreal relied on the bat of Frank Harris to get the win. The shortstop ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Royals ahead, 3-2. For the game, Harris had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.

After the game, Montreal manager George Willis applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
