Burton Catches up on Yard Work -- Slams 4 Homers
Derby HS Phalanx left fielder Danny Burton totally decimated the Taft HS Lynx today, finishing with 4 home runs in a 9-5 Derby HS win.

The Lynx had no answer for Burton, who finished the day 4-for-5 with 6 RBIs and 4 runs scored.

"What can I say? My guys could've shot the ball out of a rifle and he'd probably hit them out anyway," said Taft HS skipper Mathew Murphy. "There's nothing you can do when a guy gets in that kind of zone, you just hope he cools down some before you have to face him again."

When asked about his record performance, Burton responded, "After the first two I just tried to do everything the same way and it worked."

Danny Burton flied out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off José Gutiérrez in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off José Gutiérrez in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Tony Whitaker in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Javier García in the 8th.

So far this year Burton is batting .435 with 10 home runs.
