Nix Helps Montreal Cruise to 11-3 Win
Led by Nick Nix, the Montreal Royals defeated the Hollywood Stars, 11-3. Nix went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 for the Royals. Picking up the win was Dave Wiggins. He went 8.2 innings, allowing 3 runs on 7 hits. The right--hander struck out 13 and walked 1. The Royals, now 10-2, have been on fire in the early going.
