Ríos Leads Lloydminster to 3-0 Win Over Stittsville Sunday, May 14th , 1972 Lorenzo Ríos was dynamite at Shrapnels Stadium today, blowing away the Stittsville Lightning in a shutout victory. The Lloydminster Liners starter had everything working as he held the Lightning to 7 hits in the 3-0 win. "He was pure nasty out there today," said Stittsville skipper Tom Hill. "I don't think any team in the league would've had a chance against what he was bringing." Ríos finished the game with 3 strikeouts and 4 walks. On the season Ríos has a 4-1 record with a 1.80 ERA. |
