Morris of Willard Player of the Week Monday, June 12th , 1972 The hottest bat of the week belonged to Willard right fielder Ronald Morris. He went on a rampage last week against SL2 hurlers and rapped out 14 hits in 29 at-bats for a .483 average while hitting 8 home runs, driving in 9 runs and scoring 14 runs -- numbers quite worthy of the Sub League 2 Player of the Week trophy. Morris was honored today at a press conference. Thus far this year Morris is hitting .328 with 20 home runs, 42 RBIs and 49 runs scored. |
