Friday, July 7th , 1972
Bruce Kison shut out the Terry's Bats 9-0 on a 6-hit masterpiece for the Bass Lake Bass at Watervliet Grounds today.

"He was kind of teasing them with his off-speed stuff, and his fastball was moving everywhere," Bass Lake skipper Mark Lewis said afterward.

Kison registered 11 strikeouts and issued no walks in pitching a gem.

"We just didn't swing the bats very well. Or else he just pitched good, whichever way you want to look at it," said Terry's manager William Gore after the defeat.

On the year Kison has worked 106.1 innings with 71 strikeouts en route to a 5-7 record and 4.57 ERA.
