Kim Smacks 5 Hits for Sailors Thursday, August 3rd , 1972 It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Insung Kim today. Kim went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Terry's pitchers. When the dust settled on the diamond at Terry's Field, he had a 5-for-5 line and a day he will long remember. And the Ocean City Sailors had a 9-6 victory over the Bats. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview. Insung Kim hit a solo-shot off Paul Edmondson in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th. This year Kim is batting .342 with 130 hits and 12 home runs. He has scored 71 times and has batted in 52 runs. |
