Astros Even With Angels After Home Win
Ron Darling went the distance at Astrodome today to drag the Houston Astros back to parity with the California Angels. The right-handed Darling needed 123 pitches to get through the complete game effort, which the Astros won, 3-1. The clubs are now tied 2-2 in the best-of-7 series.

Darling gave Houston a solid start. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 6 hits over 9 innings.

"Things broke our way today and that's great," Astros manager Larry Elder said. "It's important, though, to stay focused and not pat yourself on the back too much. We aren't done yet."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Astrodome. The scheduled starters for the game are Jayden Manuel for California and Ken Forsch for Houston.
