Dodgers Walk It Off for 8th Win of Season
|
Atlanta got a terrific performance from pitcher Eddie Duarte, but it wasn't enough to beat the Los Angeles Dodgers. Los Angeles won the Dodger Stadium contest, 3-2. Duarte threw 7.2 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. Denny Neagle, 2-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. Los Angeles, now 8-5, has gotten their season off to a good start.
The Dodgers procured the win, in large part because of center fielder Willie McGee. In the bottom of the 11th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring double.
"Our team showed some resilience," said McGee.
