San Francisco Giants starter Jose Arias hurled his team past the Cincinnati Reds, 4-2. Arias went 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 3, and struck out 4. His record improves to 6-4. San Francisco goes to 44-35, Cincinnati to 46-33.

The Giants took the lead in the bottom of the first when Tim Killeen banged a two-out single. San Francisco had been trailing 1-0, but Killeen hit a first pitch fastball from Javier Rico for a 2-run single.
