Cincinnati Gets 8-1 Win Against Expos
The Cincinnati Reds and Montreal Expos completed their game despite the rain.

The Cincinnati Reds picked up a win at Riverfront Stadium, knocking off the Montreal Expos, 8-1. Starting pitcher Francisco Torres was a big reason why. The Expos have now dropped 5 straight.

The Reds got a big at-bat from right fielder Jay Buhner. For the game, Buhner was 1-5 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 25th home run of the season gave Cincinnati a 4-1 lead.

"It was a solid team effort," Torres said. "That's usually what it takes to win."
