The New York Yankees picked up a win at Yankee Stadium II, courtesy of Steve Kline. The left-hander helped his team stop the Cleveland Indians, 3-1. Kline got the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed 5 hits and walked 4 over 7 innings. Kline allowed 1 run. Dan Camacho recorded the save, his 1st.
Keith Harris aided the New York cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the second. For the game, the right fielder went 1 for 3.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" New York manager George Yankees said.
The Yankees, now 6-3, have played some good baseball in the early going.
