Tigers Run Win Streak to 6
|
Detroit picked up a win at Tiger Stadium, toppling the Chicago White Sox, 5-2. Pitcher Antonio Alfonseca was one of the reasons the Tigers triumphed. Eric Bradley earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. He upped his record to 3-3. The second-place Tigers have won 6 straight games.
Chad Rupp had a critical at-bat with two out in the bottom of the seventh for Detroit. He came through with a 2-run single to put Detroit in front, 5-2.
"I like the roll we're on right now," said Rupp after the game.
